Angela “Angie” Brown · Nursing with purpose

Nursing is my position.
People are my passion.

I bring compassion to the bedside and clarity to learning. My work connects patient and family education, nurse development, and practical tools that support everyday care.

Who I am

A nurse. An educator.
A person who cares.

My nursing philosophy begins with people: listening to their questions, respecting their experiences, and making time to help them understand.

Teaching is part of how I care. Whether I am supporting a learner, explaining care to a family, or organizing an onboarding resource, I want information to feel understandable and useful.

Compassion, perseverance, and faith are woven through my personal story. My poem below expresses that purpose in my own words.

Nursing is my position but people are my passion
Work ethic, and compassion are my why!
Patient first is at the forefront of my mind
I guess that's why the patient's feel I'm one of a kind

My spirit moves me to do the smallest task;
One that's genuine not disguised or masked
Color of skin, economic status, does not exist;
Quality care is at the top of my list

Mediocre is not in my DNA; over and above is my standard
So, I never take the easy route
Even when I'm in doubt
My competitive nature shines through
But understand my opponent is not you
It's me

My heart is compelled; my spirit unsettled
Why am I deemed the person “who cares too much or does too much”
That's because you view me with carnal eyes
It's my spirit moving look closely; you'll see
Let that sit and marinate for a while!

Lending a helping hand with patient's in mind
Words that provoke laughter, and encouragement through the roughest time
I did not know where I was supposed to be
Trauma and tragedy provoked me to my destiny

Understand, I am thankful for it all; I'm grateful I just stumbled; God protected me
From the fall; and from a desolate place of no rest;
He covered me and cleaned up my mess.
I am the visual of “actions speak louder than words”
An example of perseverance, strength, and God's love...
Synonymous like the releasing of white doves!
